| Description | Change starts small, and if it does not scale up, little changes. That is why the Robin Food Coalition, together with its members and other companies, consultants, banks, and everyone who believes in a different food system, is building a new normal. A normal in which everyone eats healthily, nature flourishes, and farmers earn a fair living. Robin Food Coalition, founded in 2023, is a coalition of around one hundred sustainable frontrunners in the agricultural and food system: primarily organic small and medium sized enterprises in farming, trade, processing, food service, and retail. Each of these companies show every day that things can be done differently. That entrepreneurship can go hand in hand with care for the planet, nature, and people. Yet these companies operate on an uneven playing field, where polluting businesses dominate and do not pay for the societal costs they cause, while sustainable companies are hardly rewarded for the value they create for people and nature. This calls for a fundamentally different view of our extractive economy and for collaboration in coalitions to drive change. We turn this vision into action through five programmes: Natural Capital – where ecology strengthens economy.
Through these programmes, sustainable frontrunners join forces to make impact transparent, influence policy, and reward ecosystem services, driving the systemic change our food system needs. |
