Tianeti Municipality

Tianeti Municipality is an administrative unit of Georgia, situated at 1000-3000 m above the sea level. Its area consists of 906.6 sq km, among which 60% is forest, and 30 thousand hectares agricultural land. There are 2 towns and 84 villages in the municipality. There are no industrial polluters in Tianeti, the population here traditionally does not use pesticides and chemical fertilizers. 70% - 80% of the products are clean. The government of the Municipality declared the area of Tianeti as a green zone. Priorities: bio-agricultural industry, sustainable forest management, establishment of environmentally friendly technologies.
